Summit Drapery was proud to have been selected to design and install an "eco-friendly" window covering system for the 22 million dollar Bioenergy Building Project at UNBC in Prince George. This unique project had its grand opening in March 2011 and was attended by the new BC Premier Christy Clark.

The Podollan Group are currently in the process of developing a new Podollan Rez and Spa location in Grande Prairie, and our company was chosen to select and design window treatments to compliment the complex’s unique design features. We have worked with the Podollan Group in the past, and were very happy to be asked to work with them once again on this multi-million dollar project that is currently under construction.
For this project we decided to use the natural warmth and beauty of real wood to our advantage. We chose the product “Country Woods,” a 1 3/8” natural wood horizontal blind manufactured from the finest hardwoods and finished with TopShield 11 in the United States by Hunter Douglas.

The Gateway Retirement Community is a 42 million dollar project being built in Prince George headed up by Northern Health. The hope is that the project will enrich the Prince George community as well as improve many senior citizens in the area’s standard of living. The total building floor area of 148,133 square feet is sectioned off into 94 Complex Care units, for residents needing 24 hour care; 50 Assisted Living units, for those who are capable of living a more independent life; and various offices for the numerous caregivers kept on hand.
